Youth & Family

We are blessed to have a strong youth program that is supported by the people of our congregation, and by many dedicated family members. If you have children of any age, or if you know of a child that could benefit from being connected with a nurturing and caring community of faith, check out what's going on at Shepherd of the Lakes.

Mission and Play:

Our mission trip this year will be similar to a “staycation.”

Join us on Tuesdays throughout the summer, as we volunteer at various local community service organizations in the morning, eat lunch, and spend time together in play.

Service opportunities include:

helping out at an animal shelter

serving at a food pantry

helping with a river cleanup

and other local projects including our own church.

But that is not all!

Each day we will spend time together having fun:

laser tag,

putt putt,

and the beach

are just a few of things planned to do afterwards and input from the group will help decide what else to do.

All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate!

Sunday School

Sunday School meets at 9:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m. almost every week with the exception of certain holidays like Easter and Thanksgiving weekend. Our program is designed for those 3-years-old to 10-years-old (5th grade). Middle and High School students are encouraged to assist with teaching. Parents are welcome to sit right outside the children's classrooms for their own discussions of how the Bible relates to our daily lives. If you are interested in learning more, please contact our church office at

Rally Day is September 8, 2019 at 9:15am - join us!

Our high school youth believe in local and global mission. They believe in putting feet to their prayers for this world to be a better place. They often travel to far away destinations, and other times they seek to actively improve the communties in which we locally live. If you are interested in getting involved in our high school activities, or simply want to learn more for yourself, a family member, or a friend, contact us at

High schoolers meet at the church or a local coffee shop every Sunday night at 7:30pm
