God's Work, Our Hands
We are church for the sake of the world!
Serve with us
Shepherd of the Lakes loves to serve!
Community Service
Third Saturday each month, 9:00 am
Join us each month to serve God by serving the needs of God's people near and far. Service projects include making sack lunches for our neighbors in Pontiac; working around the church; or helping worldwide organizations, such as, Lutheran World Relief, by packing healthcare kits, assembling water filters and solar lights to help impoverished areas around the globe. Once a quarter we host a cookout or supply a holiday meal at Woodland Heights Apartment Complex in Pontiac as well, all ages invited to come and help.
Sharing Christ's love
We spend time throughout the year serving others on Mission Trips -near and far - San Antonio/Texas, Indianapolis/Indiana, Detroit/Michigan, West Virginia, South Dakota, Pontiac/Michigan, and right here in our backyard. As Lutherans, we know we don't do these things to earn God's love, but rather, we serve our neighbors and our world because God loves us and we "Get Too!"

God's Work, Our Hands
The Third Saturday of each month we gather together to serve our neighbors in need, usually, meeting at 9:00am. Sometimes we need to adjust the date and time to meet the needs the community we serve and the church. Please verify date and times with each monthly serving opportunity.
The Pontiac Community Service team plans projects for Woodland Heights Subsidized Housing Complex and a local 3/4 house. This month, May 10th, we will hold a cookout and help clean up their grounds, making it a warm, welcoming, safe place to live.
Join in each month and put your faith in action!
