Intergenerational Ministries

We Are Church Together!

No matter your age, you are a beloved child of God! Each week we have age specific groups which meet for Christian Education and Fellowship, But one of the things we do best is bring all ages together to learn, serve, play, and grow together in Christ. Come, there is a place for you at Shepherd of the Lakes.

Sunday School

Sunday School meets during our 10:00am Worship Service. After the Prayer of the Day (near the beginning of the service, children ages 3-5th grade will be invited to the Fellowship Hall to hear and learn about the same scripture readings we will hear in church. Children will return to Worship after their lesson is done, around the time that the sermon is finished.  Middle and High School students serve as mentors for our youngest students and will help Sunday School teachers lead class. Parents, each week we will send home an activity sheet with prayer, service, and fun elements for you to reinforce the teachings at home. We do ask that anyone who is not vaccinated to wear a mask, and all Sunday School teachers and leaders will be wearing masks for the protection of your children. If you are interested in learning more, or have any questions, please contact our church office at Info@shepherdlakes.org

Confirmation

We offer a Confirmation/Catechism Ministry for those in 6th grade and older. Confirmation classes meet on most Sunday evenings of the school year from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m, with service projects, and fun outings happening throughout. Each Confirmation student is paired with a Mentor who will help them navigate their time through Confirmation Classes and see how God is stirring growth in their faith. Please contact pastorjudd@shepherdlakes.org if you have any questions.

High School

Our high school youth believe in local and global mission. They believe in putting feet to their prayers for this world to be a better place. They travel to far away destinations, and other times they seek to actively improve the communities in which we locally live. If you are interested in getting involved in our high school activities, or simply want to learn more for yourself, a family member, or a friend, contact us at info@shepherdlakes.org.

High schoolers meet at the church or a local restaurant every Sunday night at 7:00pm, throughout the school year. During summer look for various service and fun opportunities.

Senior Out for lunch!

SENIORS enjoy fellowship every 3rd Thursday of each month with a free luncheon and program.

We will meet at noon in the Fellowship Hall and are done by 1:30. As a group, we have enjoyed a Fish Fry and live theater performances.  We have hosted our State Representative, relaxed with a picnic by the lake, played trivia, watched a Disney movie, played “Wheel of Fortune” and “Price is Right”.  We recently celebrated Oktoberfest with live accordion music and a German meal and look forward to you joining us for much more fun and fellowship.
